Scotland Gallery Rifle & Pistol Team- German Open
In the dynamic world of precision shooting, where every fraction of an inch matters, our commitment to excellence extends beyond the products we offer at Optics Warehouse. As proud sponsors of the Scotland Gallery Rifle & Pistol Team, we recently had the privilege of supporting their remarkable journey at the prestigious German Open 2023. Embarking on a quest for precision and performance, the team showcased their skills on an international stage, and their exploits are nothing short of inspiring.
Two members of the Scotland Gallery Rifle & Pistol Team travelled to Leitmar, Germany to compete in the Gallery Rifle & Pistol German Open from Friday 10th to Sunday 12th November. The competition consisted of individual events, team events and the International Gallery Rifle Federation (IGRF) International Matches. Jonny Cormie was also selected to shoot for the Gallery Rifle Centre Fire GB Team at this competition (results below).
Due to the transportation of firearms and changes in regulations since leaving the EU, they had to make a couple of changes to our logistics this year. In total, they travelled approximately 2200 miles by car via the Channel Tunnel so fortunately, the shooters came home with some medals and stories to make it worthwhile.
The range facilities in Leitmar are fantastic with a 100m, 50m and two 25m indoor ranges, all kitted out with excellent air conditioning. The club even has its own bar, but that was kept for the end of the day as a post-competition activity!
